Before the change of teeth
When the tooth fairy comes…
Early childhood can be the best time to address to any jaw malocclusions early in development, and create enough space for the coming permanent teeth. Therefore, we recommend that your child first practice no later than age 7. This is approximately when the four permanent upper incisors have erupted. In exceptional cases (crossbite, premolar bite, open bite), however, an earlier start of treatment can be advantageous. Our youngest patient was treated for a crossbite when she was only 4 years old.
